Membership Levels
Voting Membership: Any person, firm or corporation engaged in the manufacture and sale of medical and/or industrial gases, including but not limited to oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, acetylene, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide, and helium, may be eligible to join IOMA as a Voting Member, providing they have one full year of operation.
For Voting Membership the term “manufacture” shall mean the separation of air; chemical manufacturing processes such as for hydrogen, carbon monoxide, acetylene, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide and other specialty gases; purification of gases; creation of gas mixtures or blends , or the transfilling of containers where the phase of the gas changes, such as filling from liquid to gas. It shall also include moving product from one container to another such as the transfilling of liquid to liquid or gas to gas without phase change.
Associate Membership: Any person, firm or corporation substantially engaged in the engineering or manufacture of products necessary and incidental to the manufacture and primary distribution of industrial and medical gases may be eligible to join IOMA as an Associate Member in this Association, providing they have one full year of operation.. Associate Members shall have no voting rights with respect to the affairs of the Association.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Here is what to expect when applying for membership. Applications will be processed according to IOMA bylaws and policy guidelines.
Stage 1:

Stage 2:Provide Contact Information: After you are certain your company qualifies for membership in IOMA, enter your email below then hit Next to provide your contact information. You will notice the contact information requested in this stage targets things we need to know relative to attending annual meetings, including us maintaining a record of any food allergies and restrictions for you and your companion as we take those very seriously.
Provide Dues Payment: Membership dues payment will be requested after providing the contact information. Dues must be submitted with, or concurrent with, this application process. If for any reason your application is not accepted, we will issue a refund promptly. You may pay the dues amount using a credit card via this online process or create an invoice and make payment separately by wire transfer, ACH or check.
Effective Year: Applications with dues paid prior to the Annual Meeting are considered for the calendar year in which they are paid. Applications with dues paid after the annual meeting are considered paid for the subsequent calendar year. There is no pro-ration of dues paid for a portion of the year.
Application form: After completing Stage 1 you will receive an email with a link to the application form. This form provides information about your company, your products or services and your participation in industry safety organizations. The data is not published or shared with the membership at large or the public, it is used solely for the purpose of determining if your company qualifies as an IOMA member.

Stage 3:
Application Review and Approval: Once the contact information, dues payment and application form are complete the application will be provided to the IOMA Board of Directors for consideration at the next Board meeting. The Board meets twice annually, in the Spring, generally in early May and during the Fall Annual Meeting. In addition, applications are reviewed by the Board in February of each year.
Notification: You will be notified of the Board's decision within a couple of weeks of the meeting.
